Gadget for Gun Nuts

For all you pistol lovers out there, a new technology is aiming to drastically improve your ability to shoot. It's called Opti-Sight and is being designed both for law enforcement and amateur shooters.

Opti-sight sits on the rear of a gun barrel like a traditional sight. But instead of a circular barrel, it has a halftriangular shape. This design is said to make shooting more intuitive by taking advantage of the way the subconscious mind sees things. When looking through the sight the brain fills in "gaps" of information that the eye cannot see (we all do this when looking through familiar shapes that are cut in half). In this case the brain helps the shooter focus in on the missing spot, which happens to be the exact point of aim.
